ABOUT EVOLVE SCHOOL OF DANCE

Evolve School Of Dance was inspired by the Lionettes Dance Team at Johnston-Hopkins Elementary. 

The Lionettes started January 29th, 2024

The Lionettes Dance Team showed tremendous growth within a year of learning new choreography such as Hip-Hop, Pom, Lyrical and Majorette as well as showcasing their school pride and sisterhood!

They truly live up to their motto 

Together, WE ARE ONE! 

It has always been JaKyra's dream to start her own dance school. She

started dancing at the age of 7 as a liturgical dancer for her childhood church OLV. 

She then went on to take dance classes and graduated with a dancing diploma from SDS in 2015

She was on Loreauville High School's Tigerette dance team all 4 years of high school and was captain her senior year.

She attended several UDA camps placing superior in many categories.

She was a hip-hop teacher at DTDA 2020-2021.

JaKyra graduated from McNeese State University in 2021.

She's currently a 4th grade math teacher 

director of the Lionettes Dance Team 

and Owner of Evolve School Of Dance.
